Part #1

Open a blank Word and save as "Last First Name Period SMARTART"

Pick an academic topic that you can visually represent using SmartArt in Microsoft Word!  It  should be a topic/main idea that you can “break down” like an outline.  It may be helpful to  look through a textbook.   

Topic/Main Idea Examples (do not use):

Choose an appropriate SmartArt diagram to represent your information.  Format the SmartArt  diagram as necessary.  Consider:

Whatever formatting changes you make, be sure that the information is READABLE.  Sometimes  LESS is MORE.  The document should fit on one page. 

Change the color scheme of your SmartArt and resize to fit the entire page. 

Part #2   

Insert a page break and do part 2 on the second page

Pick a topic that you can visually represent a SmartArt diagram with PICTURES (and text) in  Microsoft Word!  It should be a topic/main idea that you can “break down” like an outline.    

Topic/Main Idea Examples (do not use):

After choosing your topic, find and save images online that you want to use in your SmartArt diagram, You cannot insert Clipart; you can only use images you have saved (save the image in your H: drive folder).

Choose and appropriate SmartArt Diagram that uses pictures to represent your information. Format the SmartArt diagram as necessary. Consider:

Whatever formatting changes you make, be sure that the information is READABLE. Sometimes LESS is MORE> The document should fit on one page.

Part #3

Insert a page break and do part 3 on the third page.

This SmartArt is totally up to you.

Choose any topic you want.

Choose any design you want as long as it has not be used previously.
