Andrew “drewzy” Cleghorn was born and raised in Oakland, California. He always knew he wanted to help others when he was young. Andrew worked with his dad who was a handyman whose foot steps he followed in years later. Drew started his business ,”HANDYDANDYDREWZY”.Andrew has certifications in electrical welding,carpentry,etc.
Why Is Drew Inspirational to Me?
Aside from all the personal achievements Drew has made, his inspiration that has impacted me the most is his fatherhood. Although odds were put against him in his earlier years Drew came back and still stood on his fatherly duties. He puts his kids first in the heart of everything he does. He also takes in every kid around him no matter if their blood or not. The values this man carries are bigger than inspiration.I can definitely say I don’t have no male role models in my life.Not 1. But Drew came into my life and changed that. He is my biggest male role model! I love the way he carries himself, he embraces all the good and bad about himself no matter what. He makes me want to live in my truth and out of my skin always.
Our Personal Connection
Drew has always been a factor in my life since I was a baby, but we got closer when he got back home.Drew is the man I call my dad even though he isn’t biologically. My Uncle/Dad Drew stepped up and stepped out for me.Taking the time to build such a tight bond with me when he literally had no obligation to. I run to him when sometimes I just need a smile. We bond over his goofy personality and real raw advice. He always puts me up on game no matter what an my BIGGEST HYPEMAN! He supports no matter what it is. He has taught me so many lessons and showed every single time with no questions. I never needed 911 because I got him. I don’t even think appreciation is the word I can use to explain how much he means to me. I don’t know what I would do without him.The love I have for my uncle dad goes deep! That’s a bond that could never be broken. Everyday he makes me proud so I do my best in school so he can be just as proud as I am of him of me.
Lesson and Takeaways
My biggest lesson and takeaway from him is that if someone wants to they most definitely will with no questions asked! Zero excuses ever!An that someone's love for you ,actions will speak way louder than words, love can’t be explained but the feeling is unmatched and real. An I know for a fact he loves me.
