Links Assignment

Many people have a list of their favorite web sites linked on their own web site. A "links" page can help give others access to the same type of resources that you have. You are going to create a links page for visitors to your web site.

You will make 25 links to other websites. You will have 5 Sub-Topic themes (ex: Web Search Links) and 5 links per Sub-Topic. Make sure all your links work and are relevant.

Requirements:

• Learn about how to make LINKS by reading THIS, THIS, or THIS webpage.
• Open this file
• Copy the contents into a BLANK notepad
• save as "Last_First_Name_Links.html" in your H: drive
• Your name must be in the page title (between <title> and </title>)
• Add a large title banner <H1> </H1> on the page (choose any title you like).
• You then pick Sub-Category themes
  • minimum of 5 categories
  • This will be the TYPES of links you are going to find
  • Some examples might be:
    • Favorite Sites
    • Games
    • News
    • Search Engines
    • Fun Sites
    • Kings Starters
    • Favorite Candy
    • etc
• Type your 5 Sub-Category themes in the provided <h2></h2> headings
• All your links should be in an Unordered List <ul> and typed between the <li>and</li>
• All sub categories should have at least 5 links
• Links should have the title linked with a brief un-linked description of the site following (type the unlinked description after the </a>), for example:
  • Yahoo – this site contains a search engine, news updates, free email, Yellow Pages, and much more
• Use the CSS section to change the look of your page.
