Sunday
Sunday is named in honer of Greek and Roman Sun God. The name in Latin, "dies solis" and Greek, "hemera helio". German culture preserved the Roman's Latin version of the name "Solis" which translates into "Sun's Day" and derives the English name "Sunday".
Fun Fact: Ancient Egyptians believed Ra, the sun god, ruled over Sunday, and therefore believed it to be sacred.
