Andrew Garfield


Background

He is a British-American actor born in Los Angeles, California in 1983. His family moved to Epsom, Surrey, England. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Major Films

The films that are my favorite of his are The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 and Hacksaw Ridge. This two films are inspiring to me. His Spider-Man fims inspire me to be a better person and having hope in the darkest times. His role in the movie Hacksaw Ridge taught me to hold on to what I believe in no matter what anybody says.

What the Person means to me

He did an amazing portryal of Peter Parker and Spider-Man in both of his Spider-Man movies. His portrayal of the character made him relatable to today's audience. His character in those movies inspired me to don't give up hope.

His portrayal of Desmond Doss in Hacksaw Ridge was also amazing. He portrayed a real life soldier that went through the same stuff his movie showed. His portrayal of the characters shows the kindness of the person and his commitment to his religion and the soldiers he was providing aid.

He has also spoken on several podcasts. I like how he's nice and has a charming personality with the fans and co-stars. On one of the podcasts he talks about loss and heartbreaks. I remeber him saying "Sometimes the heart needs to break in order for it to grow."
