The People In My Life - My Mother
Karina Dougherty or as I more commonly use My Mom, the wonderful woman that gave birth to me is the reason I'm here in the first place. But before i go more into about myself here is some background info about her.
Her Story
My mother started her life in Mexico then moved over here in the US to Texas while she was still young. She was the daughter of 4 other siblings throughout her childhood, she was the second oldest of the all of them although growing up it was really only her that was there to be the oldest of her younger siblings. Moving on in life that moved to where we are now in Sacramento California where she went to Grant High School and joined band where she played the flute in marching band (something she is well known for now) As well as band, she began her love and interest in photography, a skill that she was very passionate about and still holds onto today. But throughout all the worship of school and work and just being at home, she met a young man that she slowly fell in love with (my future Father) As time went by they both got married and moved to San Diego because that's where my father was stationed in the navy. But only a year after being married something amazing happened and these two young lovers were now going to be parents after finding out my mother was pregnant (Thats me in there!!) Shortly after they knew and were getting ready for their future baby, he had over plans and decided he wanted out early. So on April 4th 2008 coming earlier than anyone expected Darius Omar Dougherty was born. Unfortunately he was born a little too early and was put in one of those UV light chambers to fix him up right. Later after that we moved to where we all live in Sacramento, where after that some dark times came around. But keeping things lighter, once she moved over here she kept herself busy at work and keeping things going, and then ended up giving birth to another boy and so Emmanuel Sergio Dougherty was born, and then shortly after another one came around and so Nolan Clavin Dougherty was brought into the world. Not long before and after that she began to take part ownership of a boxing gym called Prime Time Boxing along with my Father, which is where they stand together till this day being an amazing duo being able to take on the world together
