I've never had many friends. I was always a shy kid growing up, and my parents often had to introduce me to new people, instead of me doing it myself. We also moved around a lot, so I never stayed in one school for more than year. That left not much oppurtunity to maintain long-lasting friendships. But over the past five years, I've made a few bonds that I'm very happy to have. My family has also been a bright spot in my life. But there are a few members in particular that I have a close relationship with.
I met my first real friend in Fifth grade. I remember seeing this one girl during lunch. She was drawing something in her sketchbook. I saw her drawing and complimented it. We struck up a converasation after that. This girl, Brianna, and I, became friends after that day. We talked a lot about art, as she was very artistic. I helped her work on this comic she was working on. I helped with the speech bubbles, and she drew the drawings. This was the main thing we bonded over. We also shared a love for musicals. She taught me how to draw a little better. I was (and still am) a below-average artist, but it was nice to get a few tips. After Covid happened, we drifted apart, but we kept in touch, via phone-calls, texts, etc. We are not as close as we once were, but we still keep in touch five years later.
I spent Sixth, Seventh, and the first half of Eighth grade alone. This was the time my social anxiety started to become a problem. I tried convincing myself I was fine having no friends, despite my family's urgings. I sat next to this girl in my math class Eighth grade. Her name was Colby. She was very friendly, outgoing, and goofy. I ended up talking to her by default, and we got along pretty well. I was still unwilling to call her a friend for some reason, but we officially became friends December of 2022. We grew very close. One of my best memories of her,
